This is a platinum FP Journe Octa Lune Automatic. It has an alligator leather strap with an FP Journe platinum tang buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. It has a 3-position pull out winding crown; the date is set in position 2, and time adjustment is achieved in position 3. It has an exhibition sapphire display case back secured with 6 screws, engraved with "FP. JOURNE – INV. ET FECIT (invented and made) – OCTA LUNE," and the serial number and hallmarks. The 40mm diameter solid three-body case, curved downturned lugs, and rounded bezel are polished. The dial is black with an off-center white gold time/seconds "gasket" shaped white dual dial attached with three screws. The larger time dial has white gold Arabic numerals except where the smaller running seconds dial overlaps it at 5, 6, & 7 o'clock. It has white gold Journe hands, a running seconds hand with a circular counterweight, and both dials have black railroad-style scales. The time dial has perimeter black Arabic numerals to 60 every five minutes, and the seconds dial has black Arabic numerals every ten seconds. There is a big date aperture window at 11 o'clock, and a 120-hour/6.5-day power reserve indicator arch begins at 9 o'clock. It has a crescent-shaped moon phase subsidiary dial at 7 o'clock, and a subsidiary running small seconds register is between 4 and 5 o'clock. It's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, and the 10.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This FP Journe Octa Lune Automatic has a mechanical automatic self-winding FP. Journe caliber 1300-3 movement. It's 18k gold, with fausses cotes embellishment on the bridges, a partially circular grained baseplate, and gilt engraving. It's constructed with 37 jewels, 259 components, polished screw heads with chamfered slots, polished rounded pegs, and the steelwork has polished chamfers and straight graining. It includes an in-line lever escapement, a monometallic balance adjusted to heat, cold, and 5 positions, a 15-tooth wheel balance with 4 inertia weights, and a flat Anachron micro-flamed spring. There is a free-sprung balance, a mobile stud holder, a slipping mainspring, a variable inertia balance wheel, and an off-center 22k gold winding rotor engraved with the FP. Journe logo and motto, with guilloche texture. The optimized winding system uses ceramic balls, and the mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3Hz).
