This is a platinum F.P. Journe Octa Reserve de Marche. A precision chronometer with an automatic movement, it has hours, off-center minutes, a subsidiary seconds dial, a double date, and a power reserve display. The 18k yellow gold dial has black Arabic numerals, a date window at 11 o'clock, a running seconds sub-dial at 5 o'clock, and the power reserve indicator at 7 o'clock. It has a two-body, polished case with a transparent exhibition back with 6 screws. The off-center dial is white guilloche with blued steel Journe hands; the subsidiary seconds dial is fixed to a matte, 18K gold plate. The power reserve is 120-hours, and there is a large double-digit date window. The hand-stitched leather strap has a platinum tang buckle. This FP Journe Octa Reserve has a mechanical automatic self-winding FP Journe caliber 1300 movement. It's ruthenium-plated brass with fausses cotes embellishment, and it's constructed with 32 jewels and an anti-shock device. It's 18k rose gold, with fausses cotes embellishment on the bridges, a partially circular grained baseplate, and gilt engraving. It's engraved "Exclusive Power Reserve System," and "Precision Chronometer." It's constructed with 32 jewels, 259 components, polished screw heads with chamfered slots, polished rounded pegs, and the steelwork has polished chamfers and straight graining. It includes an in-line lever escapement, a monometallic balance adjusted to heat, cold, and 5 positions, a 15-tooth wheel balance with 4 inertia weights, and a flat Anachron micro-flamed spring. It has an off-center 22K gold bidirectional winding rotor engraved with the F.P. Journe logo and motto (Invenit et fecit), with guilloche texture. There is a free-sprung balance, a mobile stud holder, a slipping mainspring, and a variable inertia balance wheel. The optimized winding system uses ceramic balls, and the mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3Hz). This is one of Francois-Paul Journe's first great chronometers introduced at the start of the new millennium in 2000.
