This is a stainless steel IWC Pilot's Watch Chronograph Spitfire IW387901. It has a nylon over leather strap with a stainless steel tang buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. It has round chronograph pushbuttons, and there is a screw down solid case back engraved with "INTERNATIONAL WATCH CO. SPITFIRE" and a serial number. The 41mm diameter solid three-body case, curved lugs, and stepped bezel, are polished/brushed. The dial is black with applied white Arabic numeral hour markers, and it has luminous "patinated" steel spitfire hands, and a silver center sweep chronograph seconds hand. There are twin quickset day and date aperture windows at 3 o'clock, and there are three recessed black subsidiary dials with luminous white markers and Arabic numerals, and white Spitfire indicator hands, including a running small seconds register at 9 o'clock, a 12-hour chronograph totalizer at 6 o'clock, and there is a 30-minute totalizer at 12 o'clock. There is a white luminous perimeter minute/one-fifth second scale with Arabic numerals every five seconds to 60. It's water resistant to 60 meters/200 feet, and it has a 46-hour power reserve at full winding. The 16.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Pilot's Watch Chronograph Spitfire IW387901 has an automatic self-winding IWC manufactured caliber 69380 movement that's rhodium plated, with "Cotes de Geneve" embellishment and perlage. It's constructed with 33 jewels, a shock absorber mechanism, and a straight-line lever escapement. It has an anti-magnetic iron core, a monometallic balance that's adjusted to 5 positions, a self-compensating flat balance spring, an index regulator, and a hacking seconds device. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz). The Pilot's Watch Chronograph Spitfire IW387901 is the first ever series in the Pilot chronograph collection with a movement from the 69000-caliber family and it was introduced in 2019.
